Privacy policy

Last updated 6 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Summit collects, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
  • What you add: bets you log, models you follow, alert settings, and messages you send us.
  • Technical data: sign-in records, your timezone (to show game times), and basic logs our hosting providers keep to run and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To run your account and show you your bets, follows and settings.
  • To send emails you've asked for, such as account confirmation and pick alerts you've switched on.
  • To answer your messages, and to keep Summit secure and working.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with bookmakers or advertisers.

Who processes it

We use service providers to host the site, store data and send email. They handle your information only to provide those services to us, and some may store it outside Australia.

Your choices

  • Switch email alerts and notifications for models you follow off at any time on the Alerts page.
  • Change your username at any time on your Account page.
  • Download a copy of your information, or delete your account, yourself from your Account page (see below).
  • Ask us to correct your information, or for help with any of this, through our contact page.

Download your data

Signed in, go to Account → Your data and choose Download my data. You get a file with your account details (email address, sign-in method, when you joined, and the name and picture Google shared if you sign in with Google), your profile, every bet you've logged, the models you follow, your alert settings, the devices you've turned push notifications on for (the device's push address is hidden), a record of the notifications we've sent you, and messages you've sent us while signed in. Your bets are also available as a spreadsheet file. A few things are kept only in your own browser, not by us, so they aren't in the file: a bet slip you haven't placed yet, board layouts and filters, and display settings such as the theme.

Delete your account

Signed in, go to Account → Delete account and type your username to confirm. Straight away and for good, this deletes your profile and username, every bet you've logged, the models you follow, your alert settings and push devices, the record of notifications sent to you, messages you sent us while signed in, and your sign-in itself. It can't be undone, so download your data first if you want a copy. If you can't sign in, ask us through the contact page and we'll do it for you.

What isn't deleted:

  • House-model picks, the Grade Record, odds and game results. These are Summit's own records and contain no information about you.
  • Messages sent through the contact page while signed out, which aren't linked to an account. Ask us and we'll delete them too.
  • Records of any payments that the law requires us to keep. We keep them without a link to your account.
  • Copies in our database provider's backups, until those backups are replaced in the normal cycle.

Security

Your data is stored with access controls so other users can't see your bets or settings. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Changes and contact

We'll post any changes here. Questions or complaints? Contact us.
